The main reason for rusting rivets is moisture. Since your skates get wet from the inside and outside during use, you can improve the durability of the rivets with little effort:
- Dry the skates with a cloth after each use
- Remove the insoles so that the sole can dry as well
- Let your skates dry in a warm place with low humidity
